The purposes for which the Kansas City Transportation Association is organized are: to promote and encourage among its members and the general public greater knowledge of transportation, public and private, and transportation problems; to support, establish, and carry on educational programs and activities to increase the knowledge of the general public and the members of the corporation of all aspects of transportation, public and private, and transportation problems; to promote and encourage among its members a spirit of fellowship; to encourage, carry out and organize among its members social activities for the purpose of establishing and encouraging a spirit of fellowship; to promote and encourage the growth of the transportation industry provided the corporation shall carry out no activity that would disqualify it as an exempt organization under the provisions of Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
